Premier K9 Training

About Me

Female dog trainer holding a Pug during an obedience session in Palm Beach County

My background in behavioral science predates my dog training career. Before founding Premier Canine, I worked as a registered behavior therapist for children with autism.

After breaking my arm, I was unable to return to work immediately. During my recovery, I took a job at a friend’s dog training company — just something fun to fill the time. I started out cleaning kennels and walking dogs, but gradually, I began watching and occasionally assisting with training sessions.

That’s when something clicked: the principles of applied behavior analysis I had used in therapy mirrored the techniques used in dog training. I picked up on the fundamentals quickly. My boss noticed and gave me the chance to lead my own training sessions — and I was hooked.

By the time I was cleared to return to my old job, the child I had worked with had bonded with a new therapist. Meanwhile, I had discovered a new passion. I stayed on with the dog training company for several years, completed a full mentorship, and deepened my expertise.

When I moved to Delray Beach, I decided to take the leap and launch Premier Canine. Since then, I’ve pursued certifications, studied new methods, and tested techniques with my beloved Doberman, Chef. Every day, I aim to help dog owners build stronger, healthier relationships with their pets — the kind I was fortunate to have with mine.

Mission Statement

At Premier Canine Dog Training, our mission is to make life easier for pet owners by providing practical, real-world training solutions. We focus on teaching effective boundary-setting and everyday skills that create well-behaved dogs and stress-free households. Through personalized, proven methods, we help families and their dogs thrive together.

Training Philosophy

At Premier Canine, my training is rooted in science, compassion, and ethical practice. As a CCPDT-certified trainer with a background in behavioral science, I use positive reinforcement and evidence-based methods to create lasting, trust-based results.

I follow the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) approach, which means I prioritize the most humane, effective techniques tailored to your dog’s individual needs.

Whether teaching obedience or addressing behavioral challenges, the goal is simple: to help you and your dog build a lifelong partnership based on trust, understanding, and mutual respect using fear free methods.
